Today, I'm so excited to share my I Love You Because mini album. I gave it to the BF for his birthday and it's one of my absolute faves. It's also one of the simplest mini albums I've ever made.
I used a basic 2 ring construction with a chipboard cover. To give the chipboard more weight, I covered it with 3 layers of gesso. And to finish off my cover, I added a simple monogram using a small wood slice as a base for an AC Thickers sticker.
I kept the overall concept for the album really simple too. In a nutshell, it's a list of reasons why I love my BF. On the first page, I attached a small vellum envelope containing a little note to him. Then, on each subsequent page, I included a bit of type opposite patterned paper and a single embellishment. I also included a few of our favorite selfies from this past year throughout the album.
The album came together really quickly because I kept my composition consistent--I simply centered my embellishments onto my patterned papers and I was done. I used Tombow Mono Liquid Glue to adhere everything, except for the cute paperclips which I decided to hand stitch on to my pages.
When choosing my materials I restrained my over the top girly inclinations . . . it was after all a present for the BF. You'll notice the sequins were kept to a minimum and I chose a range of timeless patterns. All the paper is by the talented Liz Tanamaha fom her Paislee Press line.
