This week, in the Workspace course, I'm actively observing my tiny studio in action. This means taking a look at my creative process as I work on my Project Life album and analyzing what role my space plays.
During this observational exercise, I noticed kitchen supplies seem to make a frequent appearance hehe. Last week, I mentioned I like having things within arms reach, and now, as I put together spreads for my Project Life album, I realize just how important that is to my work flow.
Luckily, Project Life calls for small scale supplies and I can use items I already own to house my embellishments (remember my $0 budget?). These containers are just some simple saucers and bowls.
What I learned: small containers out on my desktop work for me, but I need a system of rotating my supplies so newer product stays out where I can see it and older product gets organized into storage. But wait, I DON'T HAVE ANY EXTRA STORAGE SPACE.
The truth is that if I have new supplies coming in every month, then I need to constantly make more room to accommodate these additions. It's hard to stay in this mindset though when I have so many brand new supplies that I still love. So I've set aside a box specifically for sending out to Giveaway winners and it's become so much easier to purge cute items! I'm excitedly gathering up supplies for my first official Giveaway and I'm shooting for an announcement sometime at the end of the month so stay tuned!
