Happy Saturday my friends! For today's Project Life post, I want to continue talking about text on photos. I'm still loving the impact of 6x8 photos and adding text to them is a great way to convey a sentiment. Last week, I focused on journaling to include contextual details. Today, my text will serve as title work or another means to reinforce the mood of a photo.
Here, I simply added a die cut right on top of my photo. I used my Cameo to cut out this gorgeous script sticker by One Little Bird. If you don't have a Cameo, I've been seeing so many lovely options that will give you a similar look. The new Notes & Things line by Crate Paper is kind of amazing.
You can also use phrase stickers, or make your own. Basic geometric shapes are so easy to cut out and it's so much fun to create your own phrases. And then, of course, there are alphabet stickers. I'm obviously a huge fan of American Crafts Thickers.
If you have Photoshop, digital products offer TONS of options for you to play around with. I added this playful typography using the digital Plus One Project Life collection by Amy Tan. It was so easy isolate various words from the journal cards and then add them to my photo.
Quick Tip:
- Select the Magic Wand tool
- Click the word you want to isolate
- Press cmd+J to duplicate
- Drag the new layer onto your photo
Suuuuper easy!
