The Workspace course at Studio Calico has begun! This week's class is all about assessing what is and is not working in our spaces. I did a lot of that last week and it helped to clarify my goals this month. You can check out that blog post here.
This week, I got busy downloading the worksheets for this course and getting them into my planner. Yayyyy!
I also thought about what DOES work in my space. I really love having my supplies within arms length. Realizing this, I know there's probably a better way to organize my shelves. Initially, I just wanted everything to be visually appealing, but if I want my space to be more efficient, that will mean moving items I use less often to the shelves underneath and behind my desk.
I know I'm also going to have to come up with some new storage solutions in order to accomplish this. And did I mention my budget is $0?
Yup, with weddings and travel and the holidays quickly approaching, I'm conscious of every penny I'm spending. Luckily, I received a Studio Calico gift certificate and I eagerly signed up for the Workspace course (woohoo!), but I'm challenging myself to repurpose and reorganize what I already own to revamp my studio.
Looking at my Pinterest boards (primarily my Workspace and Crafty boards), below are some of my favorite spaces right now. I notice I'm gravitating to a lot of neutral storage solutions and I think I can DIY my way to similar results. Why not? I've got some paint and did you see the storage boxes I made with a little help from my Silhouette Cameo?
